• Your shoe rack should allow air to pass. This will help in drying the shoes.
• After removing gladiators, wipe them clean with a dry cloth. You can use natural polish or cream or bee wax cream available in natural color for your leather gladiators. Wax will protect your shoes from moisture. You can even use leather wipes to clean your gladiators.
• There are many straps on the gladiators. Dirt may gather on the sides, so make sure you wipe them off by running through each strap.
• Do not use any harsh chemicals that may ruin the natural color and shine of your shoes. Moreover, avoid getting contact with pointed or rough surfaces to prevent your gladiators from acquiring holes and scratches.
• Use saddle soap to clean gladiators made of pure leather.
• If you have high heel gladiators, then you need to take care of the heels. You can get additional rubber soles fixed to the heels. This will protect the heels from wearing off. Rubber soles also prevent you from slipping.
• Do not place your shoes in damp places.
• You may not be able to wear your gladiators in winter. Stuff your gladiators with tissue paper, buckle them up properly. Cover the shoes with a plastic bag and keep them in a dry place.
• If your gladiators are made of pure leather, sprinkle it with a little talcum powder before packing it.
